IFG Capital’s management team has extensive knowledge and is proficient in all areas of affordable housing from acquiring, developing, raising capital, structuring investments and asset management. Collectively, the team, through prior appointments, has placed over $4 billion in tax credit equity, managed $10 billion in assets, worked with over 100 developers in over 1,500 developments and closed funds with over 100 investors.

As a syndicator, IFG Capital secures Low Income Housing Tax Credits from developers by investing equity in their affordable housing developments in exchange for tax credits. Carefully selected affordable housing properties are combined to form an investment fund. Our investors then purchase limited partnership interests in the investment fund in order to receive the tax credits and tax losses, which can be used to reduce their federal tax liability.

The principals of IFG Capital have long standing relationships with experienced LIHTC developers with proven track records of excellence in building, rehabilitating and maintaining affordable housing communities that enable families across the country to have brighter futures. IFG Capital uses a rigorous method to acquire qualified tax credit properties, including performing comprehensive due diligence reviews on every developer and each proposed development
